Open to riders of all ages, riding disciplines, and riding levels. Ride a 3-5 mile course over beautiful hunt country. The objective is to ride as close to ideal hunting pace as possible. Four different speeds (1st Flight is faster faster and includes jumping, 2nd Flight is slower, 3rd Flight slower, and 4th flight slowest). Jumps to 3’3”, many smaller, and are typical natural obstacles found in hunt country. Teams start at 1 - 5 minute intervals, so you are not “racing” against a field. Any riding attire, but ribbons for best turned out in hunt attire. All riders must wear a helmet when mounted. Negative Coggins must be presented at gate. Liability Release required (download below). All junior riders (under 18 years old) must have liability release signed by parent or guardian.

Starting times from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, spaced 1-5 minutes apart. No teams will be started after 11:00, so arrive in plenty of time to get a starting slot.
You may pay in advance online using our online entry form, or pay cash or check at the venue.

Mells Foxhounds and Robeson Farm at Sugar Valley is pleased to host vendors of various trades for our annual fall hunter pace. We boast over 100 competitors and an equal amount of attendees that come from all over the state to attend our unique equine community event.
